All swatches are illustrative inspiration, not manufacturer products or exact colours. Screens vary; physical samples are the best way to confirm a colour.
Flake
Coloured chips broadcast into a base coat and sealed under a clear topcoat. Textured, forgiving of dust and marks, the most common garage choice.
Solid colour
A single pigmented colour. Clean and bright, often used in workshops, showrooms and warehouses where line marking is added.
Metallic
Metallic pigments moved by hand to create depth and movement. Each floor is unique, which also means it cannot be previewed exactly.
Which finish suits a Sydney garage?
Choose for day-to-day use, not just the sample colour. The slab, topcoat and texture need to be specified together; images are illustrative, not exact product matches.
| Finish | Useful when | Ask about |
|---|---|---|
| Flake | You want a patterned surface that disguises small marks and dust. | Broadcast density and topcoat texture for wet entries. |
| Solid colour | You prefer a plain look or need a defined colour for zones. | How readily the chosen colour shows dust and tyre marks. |
| Metallic | Appearance is the priority in a feature space. | Variation between samples and the finished floor, plus grip requirements. |
For slab preparation and vehicle use, read the garage flooring guide. For scope and inclusions, see cost factors.
